Mason Cox is a chance to play this week after injuring his finger in the round 10 clash against Fremantle.

Cox was substituted out of the game due to a compound finger dislocation, which split the skin. The Magpies medical staff will monitor the wound to ensure it doesn't get infected over the coming days.

Scans cleared the 31-year-old of any ligament damage and will aim to fully train on Friday.

Jack Madgen has joined low level training duties with the team as he continues to strength his shoulder. A clear indication on his return to play will be known once he is allowed to start upper body strength next week.

Brodie Grundy has a review with a specialist on Wednesday. This will determine next steps in his PCL recovery.

Jordan Roughead is set to join in contact training this week and he looks to ramp up his training program.

Ash Johnson and Charlie Dean are putting together consistent blocks of training. The pair are starting to join in some training with the main group.
