Howe celebrated a milestone 200 AFL games on Easter Thursday last year during Collingwood’s Round Five match against the Brisbane Lions at The Gabba.
This year, Howe supports new Captain Darcy Moore in the Pies’ leadership team alongside Taylor Adams and Brayden Maynard. This is Howe’s sixth consecutive year in the position.
Collingwood General Manager of Football Graham Wright congratulated Howe.
“We are pleased Jeremy has committed to this program for another year,” Wright said.
“Jeremy has been an integral part of this Club on and off the field. He has exceptional football smarts, is a strong leader, and overall a really quality person.
“As we commence our 2023 campaign on Friday, it is a good feeling to know ‘Howey’ will be a consistent part of our side for another two seasons.”
Collingwood’s 2023 season kicks off against Geelong this Friday night at the MCG.
