With the 2023 AFL Grand Final almost upon us, there’s a lot of information to take in.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the big day:

Broadcast:

Pre-game coverage will kick off at 9am on the Seven Network with the Grand Final Brunch, before the Grand Final Countdown begins at 10:30am.

The game can only be viewed live on Channel Sven with free to air TV or on the 7plus App, with Kayo Sports then showing a replay following the game.

The Pies’ AFLW side play at Punt Road Oval at 11.05am, with the game broadcast live on Seven Mate, Kayo Sports and Fox Sports 3. Tickets for the game can be purchased here.

The first bounce of the AFL Grand Final is scheduled for 2:30pm.

Entertainment:

KISS will rock the MCG as the pre-game entertainment kicking off from 1.30PM.

They will be joined by William Barton and Jess Hitchcock in the pre-game, while Mike Brady will also play as the 2023 retirees are farewelled.

The national anthem will be performed by award-winning singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke.

At half-time, homegrown talent Mark Seymour & the Undertow will play, with Miller-Heidke also joining them.

The half-time entertainment will kick off from 3.45pm.

Other key timings:

8.00am: MCC Unreserved seats and standing room Gates open

9.00am: MCC Reserved seating Gates open

9.30am: Public and AFL reserve Gates open

12.38pm: Grand Final sprint

2.13pm: Teams enter field

2.24pm: Delivery of Premiership Cup

Fan Live Sites:

Those with tickets for the Grand Final Live Site at the AIA Vitality centre are in for a memorable experience, with numerous activations available.

Gates open at 10am, with big screens, food trucks, KFC giveaways, Nike face painting and hair braiding, and much more all offered.

Those without tickets for this event will be able to head across the road to the free Grand Slam Oval Live Site. Gates open there at 10am too.

Footy festival:

Starting at 8 AM, the Footy Festival will begin at Yarra Park.

The perfect school holiday adventure, Footy Festival is FREE and features entertainment for all ages including player appearances, giveaways, music and some of Melbourne’s best food trucks and bars.

March to the ‘G:

The traditional march to the ‘G will once again take place on Saturday, kicking off at Grand Slam Oval.

Fans both attending the game in person or watching from elsewhere are encouraged to join the Magpie Army in marching over to the ground.

12.20PM: Arrival at Gate 1 MCG

2:30PM: First bounce of the 2023 Toyota AFL Grand Final
