Collingwood has today farewelled Taylor Adams in a trade with the Sydney Swans.

The Club receives pick 33 in the upcoming 2023 AFL National Draft in exchange for Adams.

Adams was traded to Collingwood in 2013 and played 175 games in the black-and-white across 10 seasons.

In his last eight seasons, Adams was an integral part of the Club’s leadership team.

This will be the 30-year-old’s third AFL club having been selected in the 2011 draft by the GWS Giants.

Across his 12-year AFL career, Adams has played 206 AFL games and booted 76 goals.

Collingwood GM of Football Graham Wright thanked Adams for his contribution to Collingwood.

“Over the past decade Taylor has been an instrumental part of our Club’s success, and we thank him for his contribution to our football program.

“Taylor has been an outstanding leader during his time with Collingwood and the professionalism and support he has shown to his teammates despite facing his own injury challenges should be commended.

“We understand Taylor’s aspiration to seek opportunity at another club that will provide him with more opportunity.

“We wish Taylor and his family all the best with his next venture at the Sydney Swans.”
