Collingwood defender Jakob Ryan will spend some time on the sidelines with a hand injury.

The 19-year-old sustained a fracture to the fifth metacarpal in his left hand at training on Wednesday.

“This is minor setback for Jakob who injured his hand during a training drill on Wednesday,” Collingwood’s General Manager of Football Brendon Bolton said.

“Jakob is expected to be sidelined for several weeks. The Club will provide a further update on his injury timeline following consultation with his surgeon.”
