Bounce
Collingwood forwards Lachie Schultz and Mason Cox will return for the Pies’ Round 18 clash with Gold Coast at People First Stadium on Friday night.
Veteran Steele Sidebottom also comes back into the team after missing the Round 17 win over Carlton through illness.
Schultz returns from a hamstring injury that has kept the 27-year-old sidelined since the Pies' Round 12 win over Hawthorn, while Cox's last outing in Collingwood's AFL team was the Round 11 win over North Melbourne.
Patrick Lipinski and Brody Mihocek will be managed for the clash, while defender Wil Parker is omitted from last week’s team that defeated the Blues.
Lipinski, Parker and midfielder Ed Allan will be the emergencies for the clash.
After his first AFL match in over a year, midfielder Tom Mitchell has retained his position after an impressive performance against the Blues in which he collected 26 disposals.
Collingwood Coach Craig McRae said the dual All-Australian recovered well from the Blues’ clash.
“He’ll play again this week,” McRae said.
“He looks really hungry to get involved in a game like this.”
Last week’s debutant Roan Steele has also retained his spot in the team after picking up 19 disposals in Round 17’s win.
After playing together for the first time 10 years ago, Sidebottom and Brayden Maynard will play their 200th game together as teammates on Friday night.
The Pies will be gunning to secure their ninth consecutive win on Friday night, which will be the Club’s most victories in a row since 2022’s 11-match streak.
The tactical substitution will be selected from the bench and will be named 60 minutes before the first bounce.
Collingwood fans can watch the game live on Channel 7, Fox Footy and kayosports.com.au, with the first bounce at 7:40pm (AEST).
