Collingwood Coach Craig McRae has named the Magpies’ extended squad for Sunday’s Round 20 clash with Richmond at the MCG.
After being managed for last week’s match, forward Tim Membrey and midfielder Tom Mitchell return to the squad, while defender Dan Houston returns from an abdominal strain that saw him miss the Dockers match.
Mid-Season draftee Roan Steele also returns to the squad after his 17 disposal and four-goal performance in the VFL team’s 15-point win over Geelong last Saturday night.
Forward Beau McCreery is the only omission from the Round 19 team after he sustained a minor hamstring strain that will sideline the 24-year-old for two-to-three weeks.
After breaking the record for most consecutive matches played in V/AFL history in the Round 8 clash with the Cats, Collingwood’s ironman Jack Crisp will notch 250 Club games against Richmond.
The dual Copeland Trophy winner celebrated 250 AFL games in the Pies’ Opening Round clash, with Sunday’s match marking his 268th match after 18 games with Brisbane.
The 2023 Premiership Player will be the 15th Collingwood player to reach 250 Club games and draws even with Magpie legends Peter Daicos and Lou Richards for games played in the black and white.
The final team, including three emergencies, will be selected from the extended squad and named at 5pm on Friday.
The tactical substitution will be selected from the bench and will be named 60 minutes before the first bounce.
Collingwood fans can watch the game live on Fox Footy and kayosports.com.au, with the first bounce at 2:10pm (AEST).
