A loose ball outside 50 was left for a 158th gamer in Steele Sidebottom to deal with. As the ball at up Sidebottom twisted and turned his way out of trouble, up against the boundary line, to kick one of the best goals of 2016.


Heading towards the boundary line with little options, Sidebottom left his opponent hanging, holding the ball in play as he kept his feet, wandering into an open 50 as he slotted the goal from 45 metres out.

The goal was the number 22’s 114th career goal and his first of two for the night coupled with 28 disposals
