Scott Pendlebury is set to play his 21st AFL season, with the 37-year-old signing a one-year contract extension.
Already holding Collingwood’s games record with 421 outings, Pendlebury will extend his distinguished career, moving closer to Brent Harvey’s VFL / AFL all-time games record of 432.
With an incredible list of accolades to his name, include two Premierships, six All-Australian selections and five Copeland Trophies, Pendlebury’s legacy of a legend of Collingwood will continue to grow.
Known for his elite ball skills, trademark poise and strong leadership, Pendlebury has continuously set the standard for professionalism and excellence.
General Manager of List and Talent Strategy Justin Leppitsch said:
“Everyone throughout the league appreciates the influence and experience that Scott brings to our side and we are pleased to have him sign on for 2026,” Leppitsch said.
“His professionalism is second to none, always ensuring he sets himself up to get the best out of himself and his teammates.
“In addition to his on-field contribution, it is the guidance he will provide his fellow teammates, setting the standards and embodying what it means to be a Collingwood person, that will be influential throughout our 2026 campaign and beyond.”
Pendlebury’s signature follows fellow teammate Darcy Cameron, who earlier this morning announced his three-year contract extension.
