Bounce
Collingwood Coach Craig McRae has made two changes to the Magpies’ team to take on Melbourne at the MCG on Friday night.
Defender Jeremy Howe returns to the team for the first time since Round 22’s clash with Hawthorn, where he was involved in a collision that saw him concussed within the first minute of the game.
Outside of that match, it will be the veteran’s first game since suffering a groin injury in the Pies’ Round 18 clash with Gold Coast.
Mid-season draftee Roan Steele has also been selected to take on the Demons, which will be the winger’s third AFL game and first since Round 18.
Midfielder Ed Allan and defender Wil Parker have both been omitted for the clash.
The pair are emergencies for the match alongside ruck Mason Cox.
The tactical substitution will be selected from the bench and will be named 60 minutes before the first bounce.
It will be the second clash between the Pies and Demons in 2025, with Collingwood taking the win by one point in Round 13.
The match will be crucial for the Pies, who will all but secure a top four position and a double chance in finals with a win over Melbourne.
After announcing an all-time league membership record of 112,08 members earlier this week, Collingwood is celebrating Magpie Army Week, a time to honour its supporters.
Collingwood fans can watch the game live on Channel 7, Fox Footy and kayosports.com.au, with the first bounce at 7:10pm (AEST).
