Collingwood champions Steele Sidebottom and Jeremy Howe will play on in 2026.
The pair have both signed one-year contract extensions to continue their illustrious careers.
Two key pillars in Collingwood’s lineup, Howe will play a 16th AFL season, while Sidebottom signs on for his 18th year.
One of the Magpies’ most respected players, Sidebottom has a decorated resume, featuring two Premierships, two Anzac Day Medals, two Copeland Trophies, an All-Australian blazer and recently celebrated his 350th game.
Drafted from the Murray Bushrangers as a 17-year-old in 2008, Sidebottom has been a mainstay in the Magpies’ lineup over the past 17 seasons, establishing a career based on exceptional ball use, football knowledge and consistency.
Howe has built a career on high-flying marks, determined defence and strong leadership.
With 270 games to his name, including 170 in the black and white, his journey from dynamic forward to premiership-winning defender reflects his adaptability, resilience, and a deep commitment to team success.
Not only is Howe a reliable force in the backline, but his leadership has been pivotal for the program, having served as Vice-Captain for seven years, before stepping out of the leadership group ahead of this season.
General Manager of List and Talent Strategy Justin Leppitsch said:
“We are excited to have Steele and Jeremy sign on for 2026. They both bring an incredible amount of experience and knowledge to our side, and are highly regarded people throughout the Club,”
