After reaching 175 VFL games last month, Collingwood VFL player Tom Wilson was last night awarded with a VFL Life Membership.

Wilson, whose career has spanned 15 years across the Northern Blues (now Bullants) and Collingwood, was celebrated in front of the industry at the awards hosted at Marvel Stadium.

It was a particularly sweet night for Wilson, whose cousin and Collingwood VFLW recruit Tahlia Sanger was crowned the 2025 Debbie Lee Medal winner, awarded to the VFLW Rising Star.

The 19-year-old midfielder averaged 20.9 disposals and 7.1 tackles in her maiden VFLW season, which also saw her earn Team of the Year honours named in the midfield.

Joining Sanger in the Team of the Year is Amelia Peck (centre half forward), Courtney Jones (half forward flank), Lily-Rose Williamson (interchange), and Charlotte Brewer (interchange).
