Young Pies Lucy Cronin and Ash Centra have been named in the 2025 22Under22 squad following impressive home and away seasons.

Going for her second 22Under22 nod, key defender Cronin has played an integral role in the Pies’ backline, having played every game since hearing her name called in the 2023 AFLW Draft.

Cronin’s first year in the black and white was highly decorated, with the 20-year-old finishing her maiden AFLW season with a Rising Star nomination, a place in the 2024 22Under22 team, and a runner up finish in Collingwood’s AFLW Best and Fairest awards.

Continuing to grow in 2025, Cronin has averaged 13.2 disposals and 6.5 intercept possessions, showing there’s still plenty to come for this young Pie yet.

Joining Cronin in the 22Under22 squad is last year’s number one pick Ash Centra, who despite having an interrupted maiden AFLW season has shown there’s plenty to be excited about for years to come.

Making her debut in Round 1, the 19-year-old has averaged 14 disposals and has kicked six goals in her first eight AFLW matches.

Receiving a Rising Star nomination in the Pies’ Round 5 win against the Swans where she finished with 18 disposals and two goals, Centra recorded a season-high 24 disposals and five tackles the following week against the Hawks.
