Collingwood is pleased to announce Imogen Barnett has extended her commitment to the black and white.

Already contracted for the 2026 season, Barnett has penned a one-year extension to remain a Magpie until at least the end of 2027.

Barnett produced a career-best campaign this season, averaging 11.4 disposals, totalling 47 tackles and 18 clearances.

The 30-year-old joined the Pies during the 2021 AFLW National Draft and has played 35 games as she enters her sixth season at Collingwood.

Barnett is an active member of the Club’s Women in Black and White group, which leads initiatives designed to support and elevate Collingwood’s female staff and players.

She also participated in the Club’s pilot MagNet program this year, a volunteer initiative in which industry professionals from outside the Club mentor Collingwood’s players and staff.

Executive General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger said she was delighted by Barnett’s further commitment to Collingwood.

“We’re pleased to see ‘Imo’ re-commit to the Club, continuing to build on the impact she has made over the past four years both on and off the field,” Burger said.

“Imo has come off an incredible year, delivering a career-best and most consistent season yet. Watching her develop as a footballer and person since she first came through our walls has been special.

“It’s been fantastic to see her continue to strengthen her craft within our football environment, while also playing a role in shaping and inspiring the wider Club through positive initiatives for our staff.”
