Collingwood AFLW rookie Ellie Brady has been named to make her debut against Essendon on Sunday afternoon at Windy Hill.
Hailing from Ballyhaise in Ireland, the 19-year-old cross-coder was signed to Collingwood at the end of last year after a successful Gaelic career at both junior and intermediate level where she played alongside former Pie Aishling Moloney for Cavan.
Measuring at 179cm, Brady was integrated into Collingwood’s forward line where she kicked two goals in five VFLW appearances earlier in the year.
Now Brady will have her opportunity at the top level in the Club’s final game of the AFLW season, becoming the Pies’ 13th debutant of the 2026 season and the fifth Irish women’s player to pull on the black and white stripes.
Collingwood’s extended squad to face Essendon will be named on Thursday at 6:20pm (AEDT), with the final team to be locked in on Friday 5pm (AEDT).
