The details for Collingwood’s first pre-season hit out of 2026 have been confirmed today, with the Pies set to take on the GWS GIANTS in match simulation.
The clash will take place at La Trobe University’s Tony Sheehan Oval, Bundoora, at 11am on Friday 20 February.
Having returned to pre-season almost two weeks ago, it leaves the Pies with exactly one month before their first competitive hit out of the new year.
Match details
Collingwood v GWS GIANTS
Friday 20 February, 11am
Tony Sheehan Oval, La Trobe University, Bundoora
Who will be in action?
The match simulation could be the first chance for Pies fans to see the Club's new recruits, with Jack Buller and the 2025 draftees a chance to feature.
Jack Buller crossed over to the black and white via last year’s trade period and arrives looking to secure his spot in a talented forward line.
The likes of Tyan Prindable, Sam Swadling, Zac McCarthy, Angus Anderson and Jai Saxena could line up to face the GIANTS, with the quintet selected in November’s National and Rookie drafts.
Barring mature age recruit Anderson (22 years of age), all have freshly turned 18 and will be looking to make an impact on the back of their first pre-season.
