Collingwood has announced its AFL leadership group for the 2026 AFL Season.

Captain Darcy Moore will lead the Magpies for the fourth season, supported by Vice-Captains Nick Daicos and Brayden Maynard. 

This is the third season Maynard has held the role, with Daicos heading into his second year as a Vice-Captain. 

Both Maynard and Daicos led the side for multiple games throughout 2025 in Moore’s absence. 

Lachie Schultz has been elevated into the group as a leader, alongside returning members Darcy Cameron, Jamie Elliott and Isaac Quaynor. 

Schultz has become a key member of the Magpies’ line-up since arriving at the Club ahead of the 2024 season. 

With 36 games to his name in the black and white, taking his career total to 126, Schultz’s experience and guidance will be an important pillar to Collingwood’s forward line. 

Cameron was elevated to the group ahead of the 2025 season, taking his leadership and on-field performance to the next level, claiming last year’s E.W. Copeland Trophy. 

Returning alongside Cameron for a second year is forward Jamie Elliott, who had a career-best season in 2025, scoring 60 goals across his 25 matches. 

While Isaac Quaynor continues to expand his impact on and off the field as he heads towards a third year as a leader. 

EGM of Football Charlie Gardiner congratulated Schultz on his elevation and acknowledged the contribution of the Magpies’ leaders. 

“We are excited to announce our AFL leadership group ahead of the 2026 season. Congratulations to Lachie on his elevation into the group. Since arriving at Collingwood, he has quickly established himself as a leader and key contributor to our team with his passion and dedication to the Club and his teammates,” Gardiner said. 

“Darcy will continue his exceptional leadership as Captain for the fourth year, while for a second year, Nick and Brayden will support as Vice-Captains. 

“Joining Lachie as leaders are Darcy (Cameron), Jamie and Isaac. Our leaders all complement each other with their individual strengths and capabilities and will play a key role in driving the standards of our Club.”
