The AFL has today confirmed fixtures for both the VFL and VFLW, with double and triple headers to feature in 2026.
Among the announcement was the first 13 rounds of the Smithy’s VFL competition, along with the opening six rounds of the VFLW season. The remaining dates are set to be announced later in the season.
VFL
With the Pies’ VFL side receiving a delayed start in line with the AFL side’s bye in the second round, Collingwood will kick off their VFL season in a Friday afternoon clash against the GIANTS at Victoria Park prior to the AFL side’s clash against GWS at Marvel Stadium.
Collingwood will then head to the northern suburbs to play Coburg at Barry Plant Park, before a league-wide bye over the AFL’s Gather Round to allow for the VFL and VFLW State Games to be held in South Australia.
The VFL season will recommence the following week with an away Friday night blockbuster against Carlton before an Anzac Day double header against Essendon on 25 April at Victoria Park.
A Round 6 away clash with the Hawks at Box Hill City Oval follows, before returning to Victoria Park in Round 7 to host Geelong.
Round 8 will see both AFL and VFL Pies travel to Sydney for their respective clashes with the Swans, with the VFL side playing in a 2:05pm clash at Tramway Park ahead of the 7:30pm AFL match up at the SCG.
Two consecutive away games follow with the Collingwood set to face Werribee (Round 9) before a triple header with the AFL and VFLW sides against Footscray (Round 10).
Collingwood will return home to Victoria Park in Round 11 for a Saturday afternoon VFLW double header against Casey ahead of the AFL side’s traditional King’s Birthday clash.
The Pies will have another bye over Round 12, before a Friday night blockbuster clash against Frankston at Kinetic Stadium in Round 13.
The remaining eight VFL games will be confirmed at a later date.

VFLW
With the VFLW moving to a new season window of May-September – previously playing in an April-August window in 2025 – the competition will this year have a greater alignment with the AFLW which will again kick off in August.
After falling just short in the 2025 Grand Final, Collingwood’s VFLW side will look to go one better in 2026, kickstarting their campaign with three consecutive away games.
Season 2026 will start with a twilight clash against Box Hill, before back-to-back Saturday morning meetings with Sandringham and the Western Bulldogs in a triple header with the VFL and AFL sides.
The Pies will have their maiden Victoria Park match up in a Casey double-header with the Pies’ VFL side, starting off the festivities at 10:05am.
Round 5 will see the Pies have a bye before heading to Windy Hill for a clash with Essendon in Round 6.
The remaining 10 games of the 2026 season will be confirmed at a later date.
