As many as seven uncapped Collingwood players could pull on the black and white on Friday when the Magpies host the GWS GIANTS in their first hit out against external opposition for 2026.
In a maiden fixture at La Trobe University’s Tony Sheahan Oval in Bundoora, Pies fans will get their first look at new recruit Jack Buller and a selection of 2025 draft crop in Tyan Prindbale and Angus Anderson.
Other uncapped players in the squad are rucks Oscar Steene and Iliro Smit, 2023 draftee Harry DeMattia and 2024 draftee Joel Cochran.
Exciting midfielder/forward Harvey Harrison will play his first game since rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee late in 2024.
Having already made an appearance this pre-season in last week’s AAMI AFL Origin match, which saw Victoria defeat Western Australia by 24 points, Nick Daicos and Darcy Cameron have not been named to take the field.
How can I watch?
The game will be held at Tony Sheahan Oval at La Trobe University in Bundoora from 11am (AEDT). Entry is free.
It will also be streamed live via Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
What’s the format?
The Pies will play four 25-minute quarters with no time-on.
