Collingwood has named four inclusions for its Round 10 clash with Sydney on Friday night at the SCG.
Youngster Charlie West has been named for his first AFL game of 2026 after impressive form for the Pies’ VFL team.
The 20-year-old has booted 16 goals from six VFL appearances this season, placing the 194cm key forward fifth in the second-tier competition for goals.
It will be West's second AFL match following his debut last year in the Pies Round 16 win over the West Coast Eagles in which he booted his first AFL goal.
After his omission for last week’s clash with Geelong, forward Will Hayes returns to the senior side for his fifth match of 2026.
Defender Wil Parker and Ed Allan round out the inclusions, with the pair selected for their fourth and fifth AFL game of the season respectively.
As announced following the Pies’ Round 9 loss to Geelong, veteran Scott Pendlebury will be managed for Friday night’s match.
After equalling the V/AFL games record last week, it means Pendlebury’s record-breaking match will take place in Round 11’s Saturday afternoon clash with the West Coast Eagles at the MCG.
Captain Darcy Moore and midfielder Patrick Lipinski will miss the clash with concussion, while ruck Darcy Cameron has also been omitted after sustaining a knock to his ankle against Geelong.
Midfielder Harvey Harrison and defenders Tew Jiath and Jakob Ryan will be the emergencies for Friday night’s clash.
To celebrate 2026 Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Collingwood will wear a guernsey designed by 11-year-old Noongar Yamatji artist Jed Bennell and inspired by the story of Magpies forward Bobby Hill.
The guernsey reflects the journey of Whadjuk-Ballardong Noongar man Hill – from Western Australia through New South Wales to his current home in Victoria – while celebrating his football achievements and recognising his family and community.
The match will be broadcast live on Channel 7, 7plus, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
