VFL Senior Coach Matt Lokan has made five changes to his side as they search for their third win of the season.
It comes as Collingwood is set to play their first interstate game of the season when they face Sydney at Tramway Oval on Friday afternoon prior to the AFL side’s clash at the SCG that same night.
After being managed against Geelong, VFL co-captain Brady Grey returns to the side alongside fellow leader Max Mahoney who will play his third game of the season.
After making his VFL debut against Carlton earlier this season, Xavier Laverty returns for his second game, as too does small forward Harry Kennedy.
Rounding out the inclusions is 19-year-old Noah McMenamin, a 193cm defender averaging 15 disposals and 5.6 marks for the Western Jets in the Talent League this season.
Wil Parker, Charlie West and Ed Allan have been recalled for AFL duties, while Bobby Hill will miss as he and his partner prepare for the birth of their third child.
Jack Marks rounds out the omissions.
Marks, Luke Quaynor, Hamish Collins, Robert Varcoe and Rod Ali will serve as emergencies.
In honour of Sir Doug Nicholls Round in the AFL, Collingwood’s VFL side will also don the 2026 Indigenous jumper designed by 11-year-old Noongar Yamatji artist Jed Bennell, inspired by the story of Hill.
Collingwood’s Round 8 VFL clash with Sydney will be streamed live and free on Collingwoodfc.com.au from 2pm AEST, while also broadcast on Fox Footy and KAYO Sports.
