Collingwood has tonight welcomed three new Magpies at the 2026 AFL Mid-Season Draft.
With their first selection, the Pies called out Harrison Coe from Frankston VFL at Pick 8, followed by Liam Puncher from Woodville-West Torrens at Pick 15 and rounded the night out with Mitch Podhajski from Coburg Lions at Pick 19.
Coe is a 26-year-old 204cm ruck who is known for his contested marking and competitiveness across the ground.
Joining Coe is Puncher, a 195cm key back known for his strong one-on-one defence.
The third selection for the night was Podhajski, who has kicked 27 goals in eight games at VFL level this year.
A 27-year-old versatile forward, Podhajski is known for his strength around the contest, agility and accurate kicking.
National Recruiting Manager – AFL Shane O’Bree said the three players will all fill strategic needs for the Club’s list following injuries to Jamie Elliott, Oscar Steene and Reef McInnes.
“The team strategy was based on the back of three players unfortunately sustaining season-ending injuries, so we were after players who are ready to go and have been playing strong state-level football,” O’Bree said.
“Harrison’s strengths are that he is a competitor at centre bounces and he is really good around the ground and strong marking. He has also kicked 100 goals in amateur football, so we are hoping he will be able to get forward for us and kick a few goals.
“Liam is a key defender who is still learning but has played a lot of senior football over the past few years. He is one of those defenders that you don’t like to play on, so we look forward to him coming to the Club and playing a defensive role.
“We are hoping Mitch can come straight in, play in our forward line and kick goals for us. He has been doing it at Coburg for a couple of years now in the VFL system and we think the way he plays will help fill the role of losing Jamie on the weekend.”
