The Collingwood Football Club is proud to launch Magpie Nest Week, a dedicated celebration of the Magpie Nest Cafe and an opportunity to help support people experiencing homelessness.

In Round 15, the Club will again host 500 of Melbourne’s most vulnerable community members for a special pre‑game function at the MCG, where guests will enjoy a warm meal, connection and an evening of football - an experience that is out of reach for many who attend.

Double your impact.

For the first time, Magpie Nest Week will feature a 36‑hour matched giving campaign from Friday 19 June until the final siren of Collingwood’s Round 15 match against Port Adelaide.

During this period, every donation will be matched by Coles and the Pratt Foundation, doubling support for people who rely on the Magpie Nest Cafe for meals and wrap-around services.

Every contribution helps to continue this vital work and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

As a thank you gift, donations during Magpie Nest Week will receive an exclusive downloadable cookbook titled ‘Pies’ Kitchen’, featuring recipes from Collingwood athletes.

About the Magpie Nest Cafe

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD and operated by Project 614, the Magpie Nest Cafe provides free breakfast, lunch and dinner all year round.

It’s often the first point of contact for people experiencing homelessness, hardship or social isolation.

A NEST FOR ALL | Learn more about the cafe here.

In 2025, the cafe served around 119,00 free meals with the help of donations to the Collingwood Football Club Community Foundation. Beyond a meal, it also provides wrap around services including NDIS assessments, legal support, GP and optometry services, clothing, blankets, shower facilities and more.

Behind every meal is a story, a moment of relief, hope and a sense of belonging for someone doing it tough.
