It was a near perfect weekend for Collingwood to close out June, with four of the Pies’ five sides emerging victorious.
It was an unblemished Saturday, with the Club’s AFL, VFL and VFLW teams all recording big wins, while the black and white went one of two in their Wheelchair fixtures on Sunday.
The AFL side’s seventh win of the season saw them jump back into the top 10, with the ladder beginning to take shape now the bye rounds have come to a close.
Nick and Josh Daicos were the stars of the show, combining for 68 disposals, with the younger of the brothers kicking three goals against Richmond.
A slow start from both sides saw the scores locked at 15 apiece at the first break, before the Pies got going in the second term with six goals to one.
That opened up a more than five-goal lead that they would maintain for the rest of the day, running out comfortable winners at the MCG.
Lachie Schultz produced one of his best games in black and white to finish with four goals, while Dan Houston (28 touches) and Jordan De Goey (27 touches) continued their strong 2026 campaigns.
Earlier in the day, the Club’s VFL and VFLW sides also triumphed out at La Trobe University’s Tony Sheehan Oval.
The women’s team kicked the dew off the ground with a 9:05am start, but showed no signs of needing to be woken up as they toppled the Tasmania Devils.
A three-goal to one first half set up the 27-point win, with the Pies remaining undefeated in 2026 after six games.
Amelia Peck and Tahlia Fellows both kicked two goals, while Tahlia Sanger starred with 31 disposals.
The men’s side continued the momentum into the afternoon, taking down the Tigers to the tune of 70 points.
Young midfielder Angus Anderson was the standout with 31 touches and two goals, while Mitch Podhajski kicked four goals from nine shots at goal on what could’ve been a breakout day for the mid-year recruit.
Lachie Sullivan (29 disposals and two goals) and Jakob Ryan (27 touches) both enjoyed days out, as the black and white recorded their fourth win of the VFL season.
On Sunday, the Championship and Community Wheelchair sides had differing outcomes in their clashes with Essendon.
The Championship team went down by 70 points to the Bombers, only managing two goals for the day.
The Community side got one back on the Club’s fierce rival however, picking up a 28-point win.
