Collingwood confirms first-year Pie Matilda Argus has sustained an ACL injury during Saturday's match simulation against North Melbourne.

Scans confirmed the injury to Argus' right knee.

General Manager of Women's Football Jess Burger said:

"We're incredibly disappointed for Matilda, who has made a strong impression since joining the Club through last year's AFLW Draft.

"Since arriving, she has approached every session with strong endeavour and a team-first attitude. She is a well-loved member of the squad and has already demonstrated exceptional resilience across her football journey.

"The program will wrap its arms around 'Gus' as she embarks on her rehabilitation process and we will ensure she is supported every step of the way."
