Daicos is the raging favourite to add the AFLCA trophy to his resume after polling another 10 votes in Collingwood's win over Adelaide on Thursday night to move to 125 votes for the year.
That surpassed the previous record for most votes in a single season, set by Richmond great Dustin Martin with 122 in 2017.
The third-placed player, Fremantle ruck Luke Jackson, is 49 votes behind Daicos and cannot catch the duo.
Nick Daicos' 2026 averages speak to a career-best season, with the 23-year-old averaging 35.1 disposals, 10.4 contested possessions, 9.1 score involvements, and 1.2 goals per game.
The Pies' Vice Captain has amassed 30+ disposals in 15 of his 18 games so far this season, three of which were 40+.
He scored a perfect 10 votes in Collingwood's Round 20 clash against Adelaide.
