Steele Sidebottom will miss Collingwood's Round 23 clash with illness and has been replaced in the side by Harvey Harrison.

The news comes after Sidebottom announced on Thursday that this season would be his last at AFL level.

With a spot in the top 10 confirmed, the Pies will be seeking another win to keep their top six hopes alive in what is the penultimate round of the home and away season.

The last time the two teams met in Round 8 ended in the only draw of 2026 so far, with both sides locked on 93 at the final siren.

Veteran Jack Crisp is set for his 278th game in the black and white, taking over Wayne Richardson in fifth position for the most games played for Collingwood.

Forwards Lachie Shultz, Dan McStay and Tim Membrey will all be crucial on Saturday night, after kicking three goals each last week.

McStay is one of the in-form players of the competition, sitting at 41 goals for the year and leading the side's forward line strongly in the second half of the season.

The match is set to see a big crowd to flock to the MCG, with the first ball-up at 7:40pm AEST. The game will be broadcast live on Channel Seven, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
