Collingwood will open their home and away campaign against St Kilda for the second consecutive season when they face the Saints in Round 1 of 2027.
The Saints will host the Magpies at the MCG on the Saturday evening on Round 1, having done so last year to close Opening Round. The Pies triumphed in that Sunday evening clash by 12 points.
Opening Round has been discontinued in 2027, with all 18 teams to take the stage in the first week of football next year. The black and white's evening fixture will be part of a double header at the home of footy on the first Saturday of the season, with Richmond hosting Carlton earlier in the day.
The 2027 season start date is later than normal due to the MCG hosting the 150th anniversary Test match between Australia and England from March 11-15.
The Pies' Gather Round fixture was announced yesterday, with Collingwood to take on the Sydney Swans on Friday 9 April. The full 2027 fixture is expected to be released later in the week.
Round One will see four games broadcast live and free on Seven and 7plus and all nine games available live on Kayo Sports and Foxtel and Watch AFL streaming platforms.
