Collingwood has named its squad for Friday night’s Round 24 clash with the Brisbane Lions at the MCG.

Just 22 days after fracturing his left forearm, Collingwood defender Jeremy Howe is set to make a miraculous return to the Pies’ team to face the third-placed Lions.

Veteran Steele Sidebottom is also set to return to the team after he was a late withdrawal from last week’s draw to Hawthorn.

As announced earlier in the week, defender Isaac Quaynor will miss the clash after sustaining a minor glute injury in last Saturday’s game against the Hawks.

The leader is expected to be available for Collingwood’s finals campaign.

Following his debut two weeks ago in the Round 22 win over West Coast, young key defender Noah Howes has been omitted for Friday night’s clash.

Howes will join midfielder Lachie Sullivan and ruck Harrison Coe as the Pies’ emergencies for the match.

It’s the first time Coe, pick 8 in the 2026 Mid-Season Rookie Draft, has been an emergency for an AFL match.

Veterans Scott Pendlebury and Jack Crisp are set to run-out for their 250th game as teammates.

They become the third current duo to play 250 games together, alongside Pendlebury and Sidebottom and Sydney’s Dane Rampe and Jake Lloyd.

Friday night’s clash will be the 46th  between the two sides, with the ledger currently in the Lion’s favour with 26 wins to Collingwood’s 19 wins.

The two teams last met in Round 4 at the, with Brisbane prevailing by 54 points.

The match is set for Friday night afternoon at the MCG, with the first ball-up at 7:40pm (AEST). The game will be broadcast live on 7, 7+, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
