Former netballer Liv Lewis is set to make her AFLW debut on Saturday afternoon against Geelong after receiving a late call up.

Originally an emergency for the clash, Lewis will come in for midfielder Bri Davey who has been ruled out due to illness.

Measuring at 184cm, the ruck enjoyed a decorated career in Super Netball before crossing codes at the end of last year to pursue Australian Rules.

With five appearances at VFLW level, Lewis debuted in Collingwood’s Round 14 VFLW clash against Port Melbourne, where she recorded 19 hitouts and a goal.

Across her five matches, Lewis averaged 11 hitouts and 10 disposals while kicking four goals across her campaign.

Now the ruck will officially receives her opportunity at the top level when the Pies host the Cats at Victoria Park on Saturday afternoon, becoming the 12th debutant Collingwood have fielded this season.
