Amid a number of fresh injury concerns at AFL level, Avalon Airport Oval will prove a testing ground for key Collingwood players in the VFL on Sunday.
Jamie Elliott, James Aish, Alex Fasolo and Jarryd Blair will all press their cases for a senior recall as the VFL Magpies clash with North Melbourne in Werribee.
Aish, who gathered 22 disposals in last weekend’s win over Essendon, has been named on a half-forward flank for Sunday’s match, where he will be joined by Elliott, Fasolo and the omitted Ben Crocker.
The match is significant in more ways than one, with both sides sitting four points apart and on either side of the VFL top eight.
The Magpies returned to the winner's list with victory over Essendon last weekend, and can effectively end North's finals chances with another win on Sunday.
