Collingwood trained as a full 46-man squad for the first time on Monday on the Olympic Park Oval at the Holden Centre.

The presence of five new rookies was quickly evident, with the Magpies' second pick Tom Phillips claiming victory in the club's annual 2km time-trial.

Phillips beat reigning champion Steele Sidebottom to the final post, before the players were put through a series of ball drills.
