Qualifying Final 2003
Collingwood 9.12.66 def Brisbane Lions 7.9.51
A brilliant game of football from Nathan Buckley saw Collingwood defeat Brisbane by 15 points in front of 66,092 fans at the MCG in the second qualifying final of the 2003 AFL finals series.
Buckley led his side with 32 disposals in a fantastic display, leading the Magpies to a come-from-behind victory.
Semi Final 2007
Collingwood 13.15.93 def West Coast Eagles 10.14.74
In only the second finals game in the history of the AFL that required extra time, Collingwood stunned a partisan Subiaco crowd to defeat West Coast by 19 points in the second semi final of the 2007 AFL finals series.
Trailing by four points at what was meant to be the final change, Collingwood fought back and tied the scores at 10.12 (72) apiece as the siren sounded, sending the match to two five-minute periods of extra time. The Magpies booted three goals to zero en-route to a thrilling preliminary final match-up with Geelong.
Round 9 2008
Collingwood 20.14.134 def Geelong Cats 7.6.48
Sweet, sweet revenge. Collingwood took out their frustration at losing last year’s preliminary final by thrashing the team that won that game and went on to win the premiership, as the Magpies demolished the Cats by 86 points at the MCG.

The Pies were just too strong for the Cats, with the Collingwood defense holding previously unbeaten Geelong to just three goals in the first half.
