Jaimee Lambert has started off the 2020 season in fine form polling ten votes in the AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion of the Year award. 

The speedy midfielder provided another impressive performance in the Pies’ 27-point victory over the Eagles on Sunday and walked away with 18 disposals to her name. She now sits at the top of the voting table after the first round alongside Bulldog Ellie Blackburn and Demon Kate Hore and has also been named in the AFLW Team of the Week.

Her fellow midfielders Steph Chiocci and Brit Bonnici were also dynamic, both receiving three votes each.

Defender Stacey Livingstone collected two votes with 12 disposals and nine kicks which also saw her secure a spot in the Team of the Week.

The AFL Coaches Association AFLW Champion Player of the Year is an award voted by the AFLW senior coaches on a 5,4,3,2,1 basis after each home and away game, acknowledging outstanding effort to an individual player in a season.
