A resounding best-on-ground performance against Adelaide in round six has seen Tarkyn Lockyer close to within one vote of Heath Shaw on the 2007 collingwoodfc.com.au Fans’ Player of the Year leaderboard.

Congratulations to Lockyer, who received 577 votes from the fans for his magnificent contribution in what was one of the club’s best wins of recent years, easily earning the overall three votes for the second time this year to move to seven votes for the season.

Rhyce Shaw’s outstanding 22-possession effort against the Crows earned him 235 votes from the fans and two votes overall, while Dane Swan was rewarded for another excellent outing in 2007 with one vote.

Leader Heath Shaw and Magpie second-gamer Chris Bryan narrowly missed out on being in the best three.

All Collingwood fans have the chance to be part of the 2007 collingwoodfc.com.au Fans’ Player of the Year award this season, which will be presented to the eventual winner on Copeland Trophy night.

Fans vote on who they think were the best three players each week, and at the end of the round the top three players receive an overall 3-2-1 to go towards the official leaderboard.
