CTV> Luke Rounds speaks with CTV after his second training session at Collingwood

Former Geelong Falcon, Luke Rounds, was selected by Collingwood with pick 46 in last Saturday’s AFL National Draft.

The 17 year old will join Nick Maxwell, Danny Stanley and Jaxson Barham as former Geelong Falcon’s on the Collingwood playing list.

“Yeah I have caught up with all of them and had a good chat about the Falcons and how they developed through the Falcons.”

Rounds experienced his second training session with the team on Wednesday at Gosch’s Paddock.

“It’s amazing to get out there with all the boys.  To run around, it’s quite overwhelming.”

Collingwood’s development manager, Luke Beveridge, has been working with Rounds and the other draftees since their arrival earlier this week.

“I am actually staying at Luke Beveridge’s house so I get along well with him and do a lot of work with him to develop.”

A Mortlake native, Rounds described his style of play as a quick midfielder who can play down back.

“Pacey, half-back, midfielder that runs hard all day and has a lot of endurance and I like to take them on too.”
