Tonight, Collingwood welcomed the Fitzroy Football Club to the Westpac Centre for an Elite Training Session.

The Roys currently sit in third position on the VAFA Premier C ladder and play their final home and away game against the Hampton Rovers this weekend.

Their side includes a smattering of AFL talent including midfielder Luke Ablett (a premiership player with Sydney in 2005) and coach Michael Pickering (a best and fairest winner with Richmond in 1988).

Fitzroy's players went through a physical gym and recovery circuit before reviewing their game in the theatrette.

After the session, Ablett tweeted Collingwood the below message:

"Thanks for looking after us, was a great night. Hopefully we can make the most of it!"
