Where and when: AAMI Stadium, Friday July 9, 7.40pm (local time)
Head to head: Collingwood 9 wins, Port Adelaide 9 wins
Last time: Collingwood 17.12 (114) d Port Adelaide 11.10 (76), round 10, 2009 at the MCG
Port Adelaide looked a chance halfway through last year’s round 10 clash at the MCG, leading by a couple of goals early and still by a goal at the main break. But it all fell apart for the Power in the third term, with the Magpies going on a rampage as they booted 9.2 to 2.1 to kill off the contest. John Anthony kicked four goals for the match, and Alan Didak and Brad Dick added three each. Dane Swan was everywhere with 48 touches. Dom Cassisi and Steven Salopek were among the Power’s better performers, while Brett Ebert booted three goals.

LAST WEEK
Fremantle 17.13 (115) def Port Adelaide 8.10 (58) at Subiaco Oval

Only a second-quarter blitz saved Port Adelaide from a major shellacking against Fremantle last week. The Power were four goals down at the first break but rattled home 6.2 in the second term to give themselves a sniff at half-time. However from there, Freo regained control. Mitch Banner, Dom Cassisi and Danyle Pearce were shining lights for the visitors on an otherwise bleak day.

Leading ballwinner - Kane Cornes (379)

DANGER MAN
It might seem strange, but the announcement that Mark Williams will step down as Port Adelaide coach might have come at a bad time for the Pies. 'Choco' won’t be taking the field, but saying farewell to a premiership coach may be reason enough to get a few extra per cent out of the Power players.

WHO’S DUE TO FIRE?
Port Adelaide. One could rattle off a host of names - perhaps Daniel Motlop would be at the forefront of the list - but the whole Power list is struggling. They have lost seven in a row, and need a more consistent effort across the board if they’re to remotely trouble the team that perhaps travels better than any other in the competition.

LOOK OUT FOR
A night of emotion at AAMI Stadium. Williams will coach his final game for the Power, and the home fans will be along in their droves to say thank you to their man who brought the club its only AFL premiership.

The Pies have a couple of milestones themselves, with Dale Thomas and Harry O’Brien both set to play their 100th AFL matches.

WHAT THE OPPOSITION SAYS
“It’s about just putting your head over the ball and having a crack at it … Collingwood play on Friday night lots of times and in front of big audiences. We don’t get the opportunity very often and everyone wants to embrace it.” - outgoing Port Adelaide coach Mark Williams

WHAT THE PIES SAY
“I’ve got the utmost respect for their coach. Mark Williams, I’ve seen him as a player and I’ve seen him as an assistant coach and I’ve seen him as a senior coach, and I’ve seen him win premierships, and I have the utmost respect for his capacity to understand the game.” - Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse earlier this week before the news of his opposite number’s departure
