Collingwood’s Facebook Fan page asked its fans to submit their captions for the photo featuring Nathan Buckley and Leigh Brown.

The photo was taken in the 2006 season with Collingwood hosting North Melbourne at the MCG in round 22. 

A 10-goal final term by the Magpies saw Nathan Buckley and his troops run out 68-point winners in what was Saverio Rocca’s final AFL match; 20.19 (139) to 10.11 (71).

Paul Licuria polled three Brownlow votes for his four-goal, 26-disposal performance with Dane Swan (two votes; 23 disposals and one goal) and Daniel Harris (one vote; 26 disposals) also in the voting.

Buckley had 19 disposals, six marks and one goal while his opponent Leigh Brown collected 14 disposals and took four marks.

The loss saw the Kangaroos finish 14th with a 7-15 record while the Magpies just missed out on the double chance due to percentage (behind Sydney) and lost the following week to the Bulldogs in an elimination final.
