In this week’s edition of “Mic’d Up”, assistant coach Brad Scott takes us through a midweek main training session at Gosch’s Paddock.

Scott instructs fellow assistants Mark Neeld and Luke Beveridge on how to run a new drill developed by the Melbourne Victory.

“Have you seen them do this in soccer?”, Scott asks the coaches.

“They do this as a warm-up drill.”

The drill is conducted with the forwards to work on their handballing inside the forward 50.

Scott then moves to midfielder Dane Swan and has a chat with him about improving his disposals efficiency in the back half of the ground.

The final drill of the session works on the midfield taking out the man on the mark when the player with the ball wants to play on.

Ryan Cook and Leon Davis work through this drill under the eyes of the assistant coach.
