Collingwood has claimed a 10-point victory over Essendon to remain the only undefeated side in the VFLW.

In the inaugural ANZAC Day clash, the Pies managed to get the win, 5.8 (38) to 4.4 (28) on Sunday. 

The game was relatively close throughout with the Bombers managing a two-point lead at the major break. But the Pies were able gain control over the game in the second half taking a a five-point lead at three-quarter time. 

Matilda Zander and Marla Neal both managed to hit the scoreboard alongside AFLW Magpies, Aliesha Newman, Bella Smith and Sophie Alexander.

Mia-Rae Clifford starred for the Bombers booting three out of their total four majors. 

Sunday's win now sees the Magpies sit in top position on the ladder and a game clear of Port Melbourne. 

The Pies will now prepare to meet Williamstown at Downer Oval next Saturday, May 1st at 2pm.
