It will be a great spectacle to see the VFL boys run onto the SCG after the senior side has hopefully just left the ground with 4 points in their back pocket.

Coming off the back of 2 narrow consecutive victories, the Pies have won tough, a great trait in what will be a long and brutal VFL season.

In the first ever interstate VFL match for Collingwood, the VFL listed players are excited to be able to travel with the senior squad as the whole club migrates up the east coast for the weekend.

All eyes will be on the midfield again this weekend as future prospects Trent Bianco, Jay Rantall and Finlay Macrae look to continue their good form from last week. With Rantall and Macrae getting their first experiences of AFL football this season, they are incredibly motivated to earn their spots back in the senior side. Bianco returned to competitive football last week with a bang, amassing 29 disposals and kicking a team lifting goal to help the Pies get over the line.

The ever reliant Tom Wilson has been rewarded for his superb VFL form recently, so it's up to the likes of Anton Tohill and Will Kelly to step up in his place. A brick wall down in defence so far this season, Pies fans should have full confidence in the athletic duo to cover for Wilson. Tohill finished last week's game against Coburg on the bench with an adductor injury but will hopefully line up this weekend depending on a test late in the week.

A brilliant inclusion into the side as Scott Selwood will make his debut for the Pies. A foot injury has seen Selwood focus primarily on his coaching duties so far this season, but on the back of a strong training session during the week Selwood will put on the black and white stripes this weekend. Selwood played 169 games of AFL football for both West Coast (135) and Geelong (34). His long awaited VFL debut for the club will provide a young team with the experience, stability and leadership it requires to take a victory away from Sydney.

Other notable AFL listed players plying their trade in the VFL this week include Mason Cox, Jack Ginnivan, Liam McMahon and Isaac Chugg.

Ginnivan had his best performance of his short career so far last week against Coburg, kicking 3 goals alongside 13 disposals and 6 tackles. Ginnivans' work up and down the ground impresses as he helps out in defence while also getting forward to boot a few goals for the Pies.

Non-VFL listed players Youseph Dib and Ned Moyle have been solid contributors so far this season, filling in for the Pies as injuries hamper the squads' depth. Dib, the worst kept secret in the VFL, has kicked goals from everywhere. While Moyle's form has riled up the media, with talk of him being an option for clubs in the mid-season draft a result of his hard work in the past few weeks.

Look out for Kaden Schreiber who trained the house down during the week. Schreiber's ferociousness around the contest has put him in good stead throughout the season. A fantastic lockdown defender with a rocket for a boot, Schreiber is a key part of the VFL listed players that help construct the foundations of this team.

VFL Captains Lachlan Tardew and Campbell Hustwaite will hopefully lead the boys to a 4th victory for the season this weekend, if you're in Sydney for the AFL match make sure to stick around to support the VFL team afterwards.

Fans will also be able to tune in live on Kayo.
