Collingwood will be without young forward Beau McCreery for six weeks after injuring his hamstring in the early stages of Round 15 against Fremantle.

Jeremy Howe and Reef McInnes are progressing well from their respective injuries and are expected to be available for Round 18.

Mid-season draft recruit Ash Johnson was involved in a training incident that saw a fracture to his finger and is following a similar timeline to Howe and McInnes.

As reported earlier, veteran Levi Greenwood has called time on his 160-game career after ongoing medial advice surrounding a concussion in Round five. Read the full media release here.

See below for the full injury list, presented by AIA Vitality.

Aiden Begg (shoulder) - Expected return: 2022

  • Post-shoulder surgery. Begg is currently completing a running conditioning block and will progress into the football program in four weeks.

Tyler Brown (shoulder) - Expected return: 2022

  • Post-shoulder surgery. Brown is currently in early stages of developing strength and fitness while in a sling.

Jeremy Howe (hamstring) - Expected return: 2-3 weeks

  • Strength measurements will determine exact return to play timeline, but trending towards a round 18 availability. Howe will be introduced to a light skills session on Wednesday.

Ash Johnson (finger) - Expected return: 3 weeks

  • Finger caught in a jumper which has resulted in a fractured finger. Johnson will gradually build strength, develop back into the football program and look to be available in round 18.

Beau McCreery (hamstring) - Expected return: 6 weeks

  • Scans have revealed a high grade hamstring strain sustained from a chase down effort. There is little tendon damage which means surgery is not required.

Reef McInnes (ankle) - Expected return: 2-3 weeks

  • Progressing really well. McInnes will begin light skills work before progressing into the wider football program. Expected to be available in round 18.

Darcy Moore (knee) - Expected return: 2022

  • Four more weeks in the knee brace to determine next steps. Low level strength work will begin as Moore looks to be fit for the pre-season.
