Positive vibes after the win over the Tiges
Harvs was impressed with his side's ability to win back the game in the final term last Sunday.

  • “The previous two weeks we got going too late. We played better all day (on Sunday), it turned in the last quarter and we scored really well. It was good to see we played an exciting brand of footy.”
  • “Our efforts were a lot better and it was a good reward for everyone.”

Back in lockdown
Harvs said despite the snap lockdown and again playing without a crowd, not much really changes in terms of preparation for Sunday’s game.

  • “It’s been pretty good, we’ve been through this a couple of times now so we’re used to how it works and the players have slipped into that process today.”
  • “We dealt with it last year and again a few times this year so we’re used to it by now.”

Two big clubs will come face-to-face on Sunday.
What can we expect from the rivalry game against the Blues?

  • “We understand the rivalry and the long history between the two clubs. But it is a game of footy and we want to get out there and win.”
  • “For our young guys, it might be their first or second time meeting the Blues.”

Who’s in the mix?
Magpie fans are waiting to see whether young gun, Jack Ginnivan will get the call up or if Caleb Poulter will return to the side after being rested last week.

  • Ginnivan – “He’s in the mix. He’s been really good for three weeks in a row and is right on the door step of selection. He’s put his hand up strongly and is working hard so he’s opportunity is not far away.”
  • Poulter – “He’s freshened up and is in the squad. We’ll cut the fine details of that this afternoon but he trained well and is putting his hand up too.”
