The VFL has confirmed that no matches will be played in Victoria or NSW this weekend amongst the continuation of lockdowns in both states.

This news comes after matches were postponed last weekend, in what has been a testing first VFL season after the 2020 hiatus.

Collingwood has won three matches in a row since returning from the last lockdown, however will have to wait for another opportunity as the VFL looks to restructure the fixture in a bid to finish the season on schedule.

Queensland will host three VFL games this weekend, with Aspley-Gold Coast, Southport-Essendon and GWS Giants-Brisbane being played as per usual.

More news to come.
