Co-vice captain Taylor Adams has entered a 12-day concussion protocol after a head knock during our win over North Melbourne.

He will be unavailable for Saturday's game and is expected to return in round 19, all going well.

Darcy Moore (knee) improved over the weekend and our high performance team is hopeful he will be available for selection this week - he will be assessed on Thursday.

Aiden Begg (thumb) is now out of the brace and his functionality will also be assessed this week at training.

On our long term injury list, Brodie Grundy (knee), Jordan De Goey (quad) and Harvey Harrison (hamstring) are all rehabbing well.

All three have started running and will gradually increase speed and intensity over the week.

Grundy and De Goey still look likely for a return between rounds 19-20, while Harrison is expected to return in round 20 or 21.

Jack Madgen had a successful surgery on his thumb and will complete two weeks of rehab before he is assessed for a return to training.

Reef McInnes (shoulder), Tom Wilson (back), Nathan Kreuger (shoulder) and Charlie Dean (back) are still biking, swimming and hitting the gym.

They are progressing positively and on track to return to full training before pre-season in November.
