Collingwood have signed Irish cross-coder Ellie Brady to their AFLW list.
Brady has signed on as a rookie for two years, seeing her pull on the black and white until at least the end of 2027.
Hailing from Ballyhaise in Ireland, Brady captained the Cavan Minor team in the Lidl National Football League.
Elected to the senior list with the Cavan Ladies this season, Brady played alongside former Pie Aishling Sheridan, with their team winning the Ulster Intermediate Final in a 17-point victory.
The 19-year-old was a finalist for the Young Sports Star of the Year and was crowned the Young Footballer of the Year in Ulster in 2024.
Measuring at 179cm, Brady will bolster the Pies' height as a key position player.
Executive General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger said she was delighted by the signing of Brady.
“We’re excited to welcome a rising talent to our AFLW squad in Ellie Brady, and we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll have within our program,” Burger said.
“We’re equally excited to have Ellie join our program. Her speed, competitive drive and passion for playing at the elite level makes her an exciting addition to our list. She arrives with outstanding accolades from her Gaelic football background and we’re eager to support her as she transitions those strengths into AFLW.
“She brings her own leadership qualities and we’re looking forward to seeing her thrive in our environment and contribute to the continued growth of our program.”
