Collingwood have signed winger Charlotte Brewer to their list for season 2026.
Brewer joined Collingwood’s VFLW program this year, featuring in the first 13 games of the season, averaging 13.5 disposals and totalling 37 tackles before the 19-year-old signed as an injury replacement player on Carlton's AFLW list.
Her standout performance was in Round 6 with a win against North Melbourne’s VFLW side, where she collected 18 disposals and laid eight tackles.
Her efforts were further recognised after being named in the VFLW Team of the Year.
As the Oakleigh Chargers’ vice-captain in 2024, Brewer helped lead the Chargers to back-to-back premiership victories.
Brewer has a special connection to Collingwood as her grandfather, Ross Brewer, played for the Club’s VFL team in the late 70s.
Ross played 174 VFL games, including 47 appearances as a Magpie where he kicked 85 goals for the side. He was best known for booting the winning goal in the 1981 first semi-final between Collingwood and Fitzroy.
Ross' older brother Ian Brewer also played in the black and white during the 50s and 60s, winning the flag in 1958 and named the league's leading goalkicker in the same year.
Executive General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger said she was delighted by the signing of the tough two-way runner.
“We’re excited to welcome a rising talent to our AFLW squad in Charlotte Brewer, and we can’t wait to see the impact she’ll have within our program,” Burger said.
“Charlotte has demonstrated exceptional growth and potential throughout her performances in the VFLW. With experience in an AFLW environment already, we’re looking forward to elevating her football even further.
“She brings her own leadership qualities and we’re looking forward to seeing her thrive in our environment and contribute to the continued growth of our program.”
