Collingwood forwards Sabrina Frederick and Kalinda Howarth have signed on with the Club’s AFLW program.
Signing one-year deals, the pair will remain in the black and white for the upcoming 2026 season.
A dual All-Australian, Frederick has made 91 appearances at the elite level, including 54 as a Magpie, having played at Richmond and the Brisbane Lions previously.
Spending some time in the ruck position for the 2024 season, Fredrick spent most of 2025 in the Pies’ forward line, kicking off the year with the first goal of the season against Carlton.
Sidelined for the 2024 season nursing an ACL injury, Howarth showed great promise for her return to football kicking five goals in her two pre-season appearances.
The Queensland product returned to the AFLW field in Round 1, finishing as the side's leading goal scorer, averaging 10.5 disposals and totalling five goal assists and 16 clearances.
Round 5 against the previously undefeated Sydney Swans was the All-Australian's standout performance, booting three majors and collecting 15 disposals and three clearances.
Executive General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger said it was great to have the two talents continue at Collingwood.
“We’re pleased to see ‘Sabs’ and ‘Kindy’ remain at Collingwood and look forward to continuing their strides into 2026,” Burger said.
“Sabs leads by example every time she takes the field. She’s a genuine leader for our emerging forwards and the wider group and someone her teammates consistently look to and learn from.
“Kindy’s dedication has shone through her impressive performances against quality opposition following being sidelined for 2024. We are looking forward to seeing Kindy continue to grow and develop within our environment with another season under her belt.
“Both of them play with incredible passion and their own flair. We look forward to watching them play side by side again next season.”
