A pair of Magpies have put pen to paper and extended their commitment to Collingwood.
Already contracted for the 2026 season, Airlie Runnalls and Amber Schutte have penned a one-year extension to remain in the black and white until at least the end of 2027.
Runnalls arrived at Collingwood during last year's trade period following four seasons with Fremantle.
The Yarrawonga Victorian local had a career-best performance this year at the Pies, totalling 81 contested possessions, 48 tackles and averaged 15.8 disposals.
Runnalls made her childhood dream come true when she made her debut in the black and white in Round 1 this season. She also celebrated her 50th AFLW game in Round 5 against Sydney.
Second-year player Schutte became a Pie during the 2023 AFLW Draft, making her debut the following year.
Collingwood’s fifth debutant in 2024, the 20-year-old’s best performance was against the Gold Coast SUNS in Round 11, totalling four tackles and 12 disposals with 83% efficiency.
Executive General Manager of Women’s Football Jess Burger said she was excited to see the pair further their commitment to Collingwood.
“We are excited to see Airlie and Amber recommit to the Club, who bring their own unique qualities and attributes to our program,” Burger said.
“Since stepping into our four walls, Airlie’s work rate has been incredible while also bringing a calm and experienced presence into the group.
“Amber has shown great athleticism and a willingness to take the game on. Her growth has been exciting to watch, and demonstrates an incredible appetite for development.
“Their signatures alongside Imogen, Sabrina and Kalinda showcase their confidence in developing their craft within our program, and we look forward to seeing them all take on the 2026 season.”
